How We Got Here
Tylt began from the research of Dr. Ruth Gibbons who is a passionate about neurodivergence and has explored lived experiences with dyslexics for over 12 years. During that time this time the importance of movement became clear and that began the journey of Tylt. From the first design built in the garage Tylt has focused on making movement possible in those places where people have to remain still. Having received initial seed funding from Massey Ventures (after proof of concept) and connected with award winning designer Jason Mitchell, Ruth and Jason have continued to adapt and trial different versions of Tylt using collaboration with both neurodivergent and neurotypical people. We are now in the process of developing our manufacturing.
