ABOUT US
Innovators. Dreamers.
Tylt began from Dr. Ruth Gibbons’ passionate research into neurodivergent thinking and learning processes. Dr. Gibbons has explored the lived experiences of dyslexics in her research for over 12 years, including the strengths and struggles that come with dyslexic life. Over her years of research, the importance of movement in neurodivergent thinking and learning became more and more clear. Beginning her journey into creating a tool to assist in those processes, and leading to the creation of Tylt. From the !rst design built in the
garage, Tylt has focused on making movement possible in those places where people have to remain still. Having received initial seed funding from Massey Ventures (after demonstrating the proof of concept) and connecting with award winning designer Jason Mitchell. Ruth and Jason have continued to adapt, trial
and evolve the initial design of Tylt using collaboration with both neurodivergent and neurotypical people. And now, we are in the process of moving towards developing our manufacturing.
